You Will Need:

dip petal

1. Melt your soap base in the microwave (see Melt & Pour Soap Instructions), add your fragrance, and colorant if desired. While your soap is melting, prepare your flower petals. If you are using fabric flowers, cut the individual petals off using scissors.

2. Using something such as tweezers, dip the petals into the melted soap base. Allow most of the excess  soap to drip off of the petal, and then lay the petal on a cookie sheet to cool. Repeat the process until you have your desired amount of petal soaps.

3. Once the petals are completely cool, remove them from the  cookie sheet and place the soaps in something such as a decorative basket next to the sink for your guests.

These petal soaps are perfect for get-togethers. Each petal can be used to scrub the grime off of dirty hands, and can be discarded after use, so that each guest can use their own personal soap. Plus, they add beauty to any bathroom decor.

I actually have made these using Peak Candle's clear M&P base and the rose bouquet fragrance oil. They turned out wonderful. I have had a request to make more for a local bridal shop to use in their powder room.

    PS -I love your products!

I arrange parties at home at many occasions. It often happens, that after the food, guests use only one soap. If it's a bar soap they all rub the same soap in their hands, and if it's a liquid soap then most of the soap goes to the drain due to misuse. But thsi idea of yours is truly good, creative, elegant, and economical.

    Hello Amina!

When melting your soap, we suggest cutting chunks off, a couple inches in diameter and using a microwaveable container, slowly melting the base in 30-second intervals. The melting process should only take minutes, but using a water bath would take longer. Hope this helps!

    Hello Judy!

After using the soap from each petal, you can simply throw away the fabric left behind, or save it and use again if you wish. If you do decide to use the fabric again, I would suggest using the same fragrance oil as you would not want two oils to mix that might not appeal to your nose. Hope this helps!
