saying part leaves it open for interpretation. Its intentional. If you need 3tbs of scent for your project and lets say its an equal mix of Honey lavender and Vanilla then it would be 1tbs of each. 1 part in this case would be 33.3% of the total mixture. So if you needed to make a larger amount then you could calculate out one part as 33%. if your scent contained 4 ingredients in equal parts the each would calculate out 25% of the total amount. In a case where you have 1 part cinnamon 2 parts apple then 66% of the total amount would be apple fragrance and 33.3% would be cinnamon.

1 part is whatever you want it to be. If you are working in drops, then it is a drop. If you are working in teaspoons, then it is 1 teaspoon. 1 cupful, 1 thimbleful, etc. It’s up to you. Just be consistent. If you are using drops then continue measuring in drops, don’t switch to teaspoons in the middle of the recipe unless it is written that way. I hope this was helpful.

Rose, Lavendar, and Vanilla – equal parts of orange and pomegranate

I’m confused with the above ingredients. Is this a typo? Is it supposed to be equal parts of rose, lavender and vanilla?

if you are mixing in a 4 oz bottle or any size bottle and the recipe calls for 1 part…it would equal 1 ounce. so…1 part vanilla 1 part cranberry 1 part lemon 1 part orange would equal 4 ounces…and so on
