Introducing Palm Waxes

Check out the new Palm Waxes available from Peak Candle Supplies!

Peak Candle Supplies now offers a new line of Palm Waxes for making beautiful and unique container and pillar candles. These waxes are all-natural, made with 100% palm oils. Palm wax naturally creates interesting textures so that no two candles are exactly alike.

The Glass Glow Palm Wax for clear glass container candles produces a beautiful crystal-like texture visible on the sides of the containers as well as on the top of the candle. It is a low-shrink wax that usually does not require a repour except with larger sized jars or containers.

Both of the new pillar palm waxes are suitable for pillar or votive candles. The Feather Palm Wax creates an attractive “feathered” look, with its large, broad crystals. The feathers form in different sizes and shapes, creating a truly one-of-a-kind look. The other new palm wax is the Starburst Palm wax for pillars and votives. This wax creates beautiful “starburst” crystals that look like little fireworks all over your candle!

Tip: Try insulating your containers or molds with bubble wrap or a towel while your candles are cooling to create larger crystals.

Do you have an article on the steps involved in making pillar candles with palm wax?

Do you need to do anything special to make it look mottled, or does the palm wax do it by itself.

    Thanks,

    Nancy Wells

    Hi Nancy,

The steps involved in making pillar candles with palm wax are the same steps that you would take to create pillars using any other type of wax. The palm wax creates the feathered and star-burst patterns on its own, when it has been cooled slowly. The crystalline appearance is unique to palm waxes.

    Hope that helps!

Palm wax is just beautiful. So full of color and I just love the texture of palm wax also. It just screams high quality.

    Hi Sharon,

We have tested the various wicks and have found that the RRD wicks work best with the Glass Glow Palm.

    I hope that was helpful!

    Hi George,

Palm wax does not require any additives or mixing with other waxes. It can be used by itself.

    Hope that helps!

What is it made from (Palm Trees)? How does it compare to soy wax in pricing?
