Joann, The Lemon Pound Cake FO I got smelled just like Lemon Drops. I was very disappointed as I've come to expect Peaks FO's to smell so authentic. I didn't smell any cake at all. Maybe I got a bottle that had Lemon Drops accidently poured into it. Yours really smells like the cake?

I ordered this scent and am looking forward to testing it. If it sells strictly like Lemon drops, that okay with me because I was looking for a lemon scent without a bakery scent to it. I was going to try pucker up by BCN but decided to give the Peaks F/O a try since I was ordering other F/O as well.

It's a GREAT "lemon only" scent if that's what you want. At least that's been my experience. I test burned it after 2 weeks of curing. I found no bakery smell whatsoever.

Wayne, Hmmm, I still think it has hints of bakery notes, but then again, I'm a big fan of lemon pound cake and I may just have it stuck in head that I can smell it since it's been impressed on me from its name. Not as much in the way of bakery notes as your banana bread, i'll admit, but smells yummy none-the-less! It's just as strong even after 3 weeks too.

I have the Peak's Lemon Pound Cake and I think it smells authentic. I am going to pour it later today hopefully in soy. Will update after that. UPDATE: My Peak's Lemon Pound Cake has excellent hot and cold throw.

I got my order in from Peak's on Monday. To this point we have poured Cucumber Melon and Macintosh Apple . The cold throw is out of this world. I cannot wait until I can burn them to see if they stay this fragrant. I do syore them out of the house so we don't get used to the fragrance. Also, they sent me a suprise, a 1oz. bottle of Sweet Pea FO. I also love that one. Joanne

Peaks always puts a sample fo in with every order. I think its so cool and what helps to put them on the top of my list as one of the best suppliers.

Yes, very smart business. I know I've bought fragrances I would have never tried if peaks didn't send a sample of it. The samples ALWAYS sell me! lol. I always end up ordering more.

Ok, I have not started making candles yet, but I am doing my research first... LOL... In my area Fresh Linen is very big, and I was wondering how this scent is in soy? I really want to work with soy, and I don't want to get this FO unless it has a really good throw in soy... anyone tried this one?

Well, you will really need to get some and try it out. Every wax is different and your ingredients and pouring conditions will be different from the next person. I tried Clean Cotton and just wasn't happy with the scent throw, but the next person might have luck with it. Get a sample and give it a try.

Giggles I have bought Fresh Linen from several different Companies.. and every single one of them is strong in soy.. sometimes to strong.. So if Peaks carries this one scent.. and everyone says how great they are.. I do not think you will be dissapointed... Cathy

All I can say is you get what you pay for. Personally, 99% of my fragrances come from Peaks. I wouldn't buy anywhere else but there are a few that Peaks don't carry that I just have to have. Their customer service is to die for and for me and my business that means alot. Just my 2 cents worth.

| I too plan to try pouring Lemon Pound Cake today but right out of the bottle I smelled the bakery notes equally with the lemon scent. I'll por today provided I can get my wood burner in the basement to fire up! We're haveing a Blizzard and the wind is swirling so it hard to get the chimney hot enough to draw the smoke up!

I poured the Peaks Hyaninths Thursday and am test burning a candle now. Thus far I like it alot though it may need a little more curing time. The scent is dead on and this is one of my all time favorite spring flowers. I will definately be reordering this one! Wanted to add that I used 1.5oz per pound

You should know that the more you order, the more you save. I bought 10 pounds of F/O and the shipping was less than $16.00! It was well worth the shipping if you purchase in bulk like I did! Cathy |

WOW, thanks so much everyone, you guys ROCK! this board is the best thing I've encountered in my long (3mos ) experience of candle making!!! Thank God I happened upon you guys! (Also, can't wait to get my Peak's FO's. What makes them different guys i've spent a lot of money on FO's and I'd really like some consistancy and not have to use so MUCH!!!!) thanks again!!!!

Cathy, i feel the same way about the shipping...it can be a killer, that's for sure, but on the other hand, we are pouring w/ SOOO MUCH FO right now from 2 other suppliers, that if I can actually get away w/ 1oz/lb, like it's supposed to be... AND get kick a## candles, then it all comes out in the wash, right
