Sounds intersting . Does it work well? Was thinking it may work for candles that have a tea lite inset as well. Have had trouble with the container getting hot and melting the wax underneath then tipping

Yes, it works great. It's roughly 1/4" thick and it comes in squares so you will have to cut them down to the size you want. Portia

I use it incase someone leaves the votive/tealight burning too long so it doesn't melt through. Last year during the hurricanes here in FL my daughter ( she should have known better but in her defense we didn't have power for 11 days) burned one so long it melted the votive cup about 1/2 inch into the bottom of the shell and I use high temp. wax.

Cork is cute, but I buy styrofoam "to go" boxes from Sams Club in huge packages and we cut them into 1" squares....I make so many candles that I have to consider everything into my wholesale prices.....I have been doing it for 10 years. I have seen some people use cardboard...... ? And remember, plastic tealites are cooler than the tin. Donita

I got a 2'x4' roll from Michaels with my 40% off coupon. I can get 128 out - it comes out to about 5 cents per.
