Clamshells - anyone do a repour?

I have started pouring some clamshells with 6228 and they are sinking. I really don't want to do a repour, but they look kind of bad Just wondering if anyone else had issues with pouring clamshells. I have considered mixing in a little of my container wax to see if that helps, but haven't tried yet because I am out. Any thoughts? TIA

I don't do a repour on mine but on some I probably should just cause it would look better. I'm lazy though

I echo the lazy feeling. It just doesn't really seem worth it to do a repour (and I think I would make a mess of the clamshell container). I will try adding in a little container wax when mine shipment comes in. Thanks!

In answer to your question I do not repour. Nor did I on tarts. If I had to do repours on those I think I'd go kookoo. Try the above mentioned.

Hi all I know this is an old post; Last night I decided to try adding 25% container in my tarts and they sank! This has never happened before using straight soy. I did add 1945 to my votive blend though. How can I remedy this? Should I remelt or use a heat gun? Thanks!

I use a votive/pillar blend and I don't need a repour at all. Be careful with the heat gun the plastic shell doesn't withstand much heat at all! Can you try pouring cooler?

Probably would definitely need to! Can I just pop them out of my pan and back into the pouring pot to try again?

Mine just dip in slightly- I use CBL-141 wax. Its not very noticable so I don't do a repour.

Trust me, if this was a normal dip, I wouldn't worry at all, but this is a dip where it looks like the whole middle sunk in and cracked. Horrible!

Do not use a heatgun - it will melt the clamshell. I learned this the hard way

Nope. No repour here. I fill 'em up w/ 50% J50 and 50% 1274 (or 4045H). They don't seem to dip at all...and they are creamy and come out easily. Of course I'd loooove to get in on a clamshell swap to see if everyone gets the same results with mine...I wish I was in the one that went on a while back...
