I'm saddened. Terrorists have stuck the London. The news is still fresh but a bus blew up and the subway has been shut down.

There were a few explosions in the subway as well as the bus. So far ther are lots of people injured and at least 2 people have been killed. Tony Blair is leaving the G8 meeting to fly back to London and returning to the meeting later today. Is nowhere safe anymore? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_depth/uk/2005/london_explosions/default.st m

Reports of it are all over NBC. It's a shame that people feel a need to resort to violence to fight for a cause regardless of where. It's terrible.

Didn't they just find out they get to host the 2012 olympics? That is horrible.

Some are saying it could also have to do with the G-8 summit but most think it's due to the Olympics. Who knows why it happened its a tragedy all around.

Well, fair warning, I'm in pissy mood...but I have to say I'm sick of this crap happening. Without going into a long speech, I say nuke the crap out of the middle east places that hate our butts (along with north korea). Enough is enough. Nothing will ever change. There will never ever be peace in the middle east and I'm tired of us being targets because some folks hate our way of life. We pussy foot around and our young folks get killed every day by bombs etc. Does *anyone* really believe that anything will change in 1, 2 or even `10 years in the middle east? Sorry if this view ticks anyone off, but I'm tired of this garbage. I'm tired of americans/english folks being the targets of freaken nuts. It's time to step up the reactions and just take out the loons. And as for the 'innocent folks' who live in those countries, as far as I'm concerned, there aren't any. Quick example, American Revolution. The people here hated what the english were doing to us, so they fought back. The english hunted folks down, hung, shot etc folks who fought against them but they kept fighting and they finally won. Again, I'm sorry if this pisses anyone off. It's not my intention to do so...but this is just my thoughts on whats happening today. Call me jaded...but seeing 9/11 was the last straw.

Rob, For the most part, I agree with you. I do think that there are Innocent people though.....But, we had Innocent people here killed on 9/11. It seems as though many people in OUR country have forgotten. They want to treat the middle east like its a mild problem, and just talk to them. They do not want to talk!! Do we really think that talking is going to work on people who think LIFE is disposable, on people who think nothing of strapping on explosives and killing themselves and innocent people. And BTW, I'm not in a crappy mood, I'm just opinionated! Robin (in Connecticut)

Yes I agree 100% with you Tanya, it is horrible and sad. I saw that movie... darn forget the name, about the mass killings in Africa as one tribe is trying to wipe out the other. (Bruce Willis) was in it...Tears of the sun? Yes I think that was it. That was some even MORE sick crap. There is soooooooooooooooooo much hate in the world right now that it would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic. Your also right that other countries have lived with this kind of garbage that we are just getting a taste of. Personally, I've had enough of a taste. I'm still all for nuking the crap out of these countries who are targeting us the way they are. Your right Robin, you can NOT talk to people who will strap bombs to their bodies and blow themselves up with their targets. There is just no talking with that. Just push the little red button and end it all. Time to say 'we are NOT going to take this shit from you or you anymore. We are not going to lay down and be door mats for you.' Look at what happend with our home grown nut, Tim Mcvey(sp?) he blew up that building in OK. His butt was spread with crisco and he was sat in the chair and ZAP! Well, not exactly. Now we do things much nicer, you just go to sleep, but you get my point. We took care of him, now we need to put it to a larger scale and punish those who are slaughtering us. I can't imagine what things will be like in this world when my niece and nephew grow up.

I'm probably about ready to seriously upset a lot of people here, and if I do, accept my apology now because what I'm about to say, isn't pretty. I can completely understand everyone's anger and resentment towards people who have done the things that have happened over the course of the last 20+ years in the world, I was too. I remember what it was like on the drive home after 9/11, I remember thinking an invasion was going on when someone attempted to break into my apartment with me and my b/f asleep in bed THAT VERY NIGHT. But the bottom line is this. Violence begets violence.... and I'm sorry but American policies when it comes to other nations is pure violence and power....we have absolutely NO common decency. Our way is simple. You don't like us? Oh sorry, let's make you really hate us and go to war with you. We don't like your religion, okay, well let's really throw fuel to the fire and go over there and Christianize your population. I am a 36 year old, single female PAGAN and I know EXACTLY what it's like to be persecuted for MY RELIGIOUS PREFERENCE and I can actually RELATE to anyone that has to deal with someone looking down on them for their beliefs. Then, a very close friend woke me up one day. Would you die for your religious beliefs? Would you actually kill for your beliefs? We seem to kill all the time, when it's someone that doesn't believe in what WE believe, what WE understand to be the RIGHT AND ONLY RIGHT WAY, AND THAT'S THE AMERICAN WAY! Wrong. What may be right for OUR people, for OUR next door neighbors, for OUR children, may not be right for the entire frickin' population of the third planet from the sun. MY religion is right for me, but it's NOT right for everyone else and that's FINE WITH ME AND I UNDERSTAND THAT COMPLETELY! In my opinion, religion needs to be discovered, NOT force fed. And in my opinion, if you don't understand about a particular religion, STUDY UP ON IT, DON'T LOOK DOWN AND DON'T THINK IT'S WRONG until you know the facts. People do not get it sitting there in their perfect little lives with their homes and kids car and jobs. You don't know what its like to have your home ripped in two by a missle, to see your child splattered against a wall because some "Super power is having a field day blowing the crap out of your home", just because by god, we don't like how you treat your women. These people do not live in a nice little community with a baseball team where your biggest problems are drugs and the Wal-mart being closed. These people live hard lives. Every day is a struggle not to make ends meet, but to live for the next day... and we waltz in and blow what little they have to hell... and we expect them to be happy about it or with us.... please, get real if someone attacked you. You would cry for blood. And if I'm NOT mistaken...every last one of us did on 9/11, OKC, do I need to go on? I love my country for the beliefs our founding fathers put in place. What we have now is a travesty to THEIR hard work, THEIR dedication, THEIR love, and THEIR lives. I'm absolutely ASHAMED to live in this country, whether I stand up and say 'YES, AVENGE THE SOULS!' or stand up and say 'I THINK YOU'RE WRONG!' Here's a couple of things to think about. I have a 44 magnum pointed at your head.... you have two choices; a bullet proof shield that will stop the bullet and allow you to live. Or a standard paper back Bible and your faith in God to save you from the bullet. Which would you choose? Everyone should ask themselves a simple question. Imagine for a moment you knew a person who crashed a plane on 9/11 or who bombed a subway car in London. You have the chance to kill them before they do what they are about to do. And you have full knowledge of the events about to transpire. Would you kill them with your own hands.... no gun, no knife, you have a chance to strangle the life out of the person face to face. Can you honestly say that YES I can do it? Or are you above murder to save others? Knowing full well if you strangle that person you will end up in jail yourself for murder. My answers? No bullet proof plate and no Bible. If I'm to die by a gun, then so be it. If you happen to be the one pulling the trigger, there's a reason why. And no, I wouldn't kill them. I wouldn't even turn them into the police. There's a reason why this person is being directed into flying planes into buildings or blowing up subways. You must first look into deaths eyes without fear. You must accept that you are on a string that will eventutally end... and you must accept that no matter what you do, you will not change what has been. You can only influence what may be. There is a reason for everything and everything has a reason, it's that simple.
