PayPal transaction:    I am ticked .....

....by an irritating transaction.

Q: Do any sellers read the notes on the PayPal transaction detail that the buyer has the option to enter?

Bought a couple of things from another classified board using PayPal. In the initial post asked for package to be sent to my PO Box.
In the comment/notes section of PayPal's 'send money' form, I asked that no correspondence be sent to the PayPal addy (belongs to my DH) and package be mailed to my PO Box. I usually copy and paste this info & email to the sellers addy after I send payment so they know to keep an eye out. I forgot to do that on the VALID transaction.

To get things started, the seller sent me an invalid PayPal address...so I ended up cancelling the initial transaction.
I wondered why the PayPal addy was unverified. Silly me figured that a person should know their own paypal address. I did email my requests to the seller after I made the first payment. Seller never told me that the funds had not arrived. I happened to see the monies were noted as 'unclaimed'.

PayPal sure is slooooow to put money back in an account. I hate having funds floating around in limboland.

The money was finally sent to the correct address.  A shipping notification was sent to my DH & the package showed up in the mailbox on the street......

I am soooo pi$$ed my eyes are brown. Partially at the seller. Partially at myself for not cancelling the transaction after the first attempted payment when my little voice was whispering "nonononono".

Thanks for letting me vent.
Donna

Donna, lots of them miss the special instructions and automatically ship to your paypal verified address. In fact, many will not ship to ANY address other than that one. Too easy for the seller to get scammed.
