BOOK SWAP
« on: Mar 31st, 2005, 1:26pm »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

OK, here is the official book swap thread. It is pretty simple. Some guidelines:

1.If you have some books you want to get rid of, post them here.
2.When somebody takes a book you have, go back and edit your post to remove it.
3.If you see a book you want that somebody has posted, you can post here and/or PM them.
4. If you are taking books, please try to post books to give away as well. (Not necessarily the same day, but do try to participate both ways) Smiley
5. Any type of book is ok. (Mystery, romance, biography, thriller, horror, textbook, etc.)
6. Shipping is cheapest via Media Mail, and runs from 1.45 to 1.85 for a book. Paypal would be the simplest way to go about paying for shipping.
7.If the shipper wants to pay for shipping, they can, but if they have 4 or 5 books they are getting rid of, this could get expensive.

If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to share them, and I'll add them here.

Let the swapping begin. Grin

I'll sticky this for now - if there's not a lot of activity though I'll unsticky it and let it drop to the bottom.

Well I got some old ones lol but here goes:

The Sky Is Falling (Sidney Sheldon) A mystery about the murder of a man considered to be a rising star in the senate. NY Post said it was a "fast-paced mystery tour, suspenseful with signature twists, turns and ironic surprises."

Whispers (Dean Koontz) -- oh this one is a good suspense thriller set around a woman and a serial killer in LA.
On Mystic Lake (Kristin Hannah) -- Story about a woman and choices.

Anyone's for the cost of shipping.

They're free! We're just swapping to get rid of them. All we have to pay if we want one is shipping. Grin

Oh this is going to be so much fun! I have lots of books I would like to get rid of. There is a scrapbooking event all this weekend that I am involved in, but when that is over look for a long list from me! LOL

This one was gone via PM, but I'm sure the person who got it will pass it on when they are through!

BTW, we don't have to swap at the same time. You can take books without swapping anything right then. Just try to post some at some time.  Wink

Scented,

I'd be interested in Whispers if it isn't already taken.

We have over 600 books and really need to get rid of some, this is a great idea Smiley

1.01 to 2 pounds is $1.84
2.01 to 3 pds is $2.26
3.01 to 3 pounds is 2.68
