A note about IMs (instant messages, also known as private messages).
We do not moderate private messages - after all, they're private. If you get IMs that are rude or offensive, your best course of action is to place that person on your PM ignore list.
Go to your IMs, and click on the "Preferences" link just above the list of your IMs, and enter the user name in the ignore list. You can select whether you want the person to receive an email telling them what you did, nor not.
And remember, use their username, not the name that you see when they post. The display name can be different - you want their real username.
