Well,.. today was my 4th of july show that Ive been talking about for months. Of course, right at the end of the parade, it rained its butt off! Everything got wet EXCEPT the candles..LOL It was sunny for a while and then about an hour or so before the event was supposed to end. The sky opened up and poured on us again. I have got to find some sidewalls for this thing I got a girl that is interested in having pumpkin votives made for the thank you gifts and centerpieces for a wedding in october. Some others asked if they could buy candles all year and then were excited when I said "yes" and gave them my business card! We sold a bit over 2 dozen candles. 4 packs of potpourri, 3 fish soaps and 2 regular soaps though and 2 tartburners The "competition" sent her hubby over to scout. HE tried to make small talk with us and he asked my mom if we have been busy and she said "whew,.. yes, we've been really busy!"..lol I didnt see many people with the other lady's candles but I did see a alot of people with her cheap little "knick knack" crap :-P Here are some pics. The booth looked better than last year but even though we bought a new table, we still didn't have room for everything and im not sure how to fix it. Not sure I have room for another table:-/ and I couldnt get the sheets on the tables to look right either :-P

Your display looks great, still loving your new jar look. Too bad you had so much rain. Maybe next time put some melts into the burners for display, it will probably help people catch on to thier purpose

Man I know I posted lol! Your displays look good! Shame about the rain, but sometimes that drives people into your tent too! Our last show was filled with rain too.

Our dollar store had some three shelf folding mini baker's racks. Maybe something like that would help you have more room?

Although the sales could have been better,.. my goal is just to get people familiar with me and get a few return customers. I'm hoping that the business cards I gave out willproduce something. I know from my experience with flyers that people never actually call but I can always hope! At the next chamber meeting, I am going to ask if we can put on some sort of christmas craft show. I'm just a new member and they probably wont listen to me, but im going to try

First of all, your booth looks very nice, I think you did a great job putting it together with all your new display shelves, the new jar design and your chalkboards, it all came together very nicely Heather, you should be proud. Sorry to hear about all the rain though. You were saying you want to add another table, couldn't you add another to form a "U", on the opposing side? I think that would work out, or like someone else suggested, a tall bakers' rack would work also.

I would love to know where you purchased the tart burners. I have been looking for some and can't find any I like. Your booth is nice. What oz. are your candles? They look big and your prices are great. Love the wooden shelves.
