I just wanted to say thank you so much for posting this recipe. I made and tried this last night. My skin is still soft and the smell while I was in the tub was awesome and relaxing. I scented it Vanilla Fields. YUM!!

Duckie yes this is the powerdered milk that you buy in the grocerie store. I have no idea what the shelf life is, but I imagine it's pretty long as it is in powerdered form.

powdered milk has an expiration date on the box..however that is for consumption..I would think in this form it might be OK..a bit longer..don't know though..anyone else want to chime in on that..or is it pretty much the same?

Thanks so much for posting these recipes. I tried the milk bath without the salt and I love it.

I was on a supplier's site the other night that sells differ types of powered milk and they gave a year as the expiration date, but I think it also depends on the other ingredients you decide to add to it. I LOVE this recipe too. In the process of doing the labels, hope someone can help- somewhere on this board there was a post about who shouldn't use the bath salts (due to high blood pressure, etc) can someone tell me where that is! PLEASE I have looked everywhere and CAN'T find it TIA if anyone can help out

Brand newbie here with a question...Is the 2nd recipe (the one using baking soda and not epson sales) still considered "salt" and not to be used by diabetics and such? I just mixed a batch and am going down to add the oil (I'll start with plain vanilla) and I'm not sure if it would be safe for everyone or not. Thanks, guys, I'm so new to all this and you are helping me more than you know. Can't wait to tell Angela (if you read this) that I'm trying this out tonight. Patti in VA

| wow that is a good question as well..is there a warning about any of this on the baking soda box? I know it can be used as an antacid..not sure if it would be a problem or not..there is a good bit of it in the recipe..anyone else know?

I'd like to add my thanks, too. I tried it tonight and my skin feels great! I think it may even be "brighter". My recipe smelled wonderful in the bag but did not scent the bath water. I'm wondering if I didn't use enough FO (I used very vanilla, 3/8 tsp), or if the vanilla just doesn't smell in the water. Can you use too much FO? Thanks again. Now I need a bigger tub...this could get VERY expensive!!! (LOL) Patti in VA

lol..yes I did notice..it does need a bit more FO..but be careful it does not start clumping or irriate the skin..test a few batches with more and more..and see what fits..I know I made some bath bombs without the citric acid and quite a bit of FO and the water had an oily sheen to it.
