Milk Bath ..added another recipe   tn_DSCF48.JPG

1 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup epsom salts
1 TBSP baking soda
1 tsp cornstarch
EO or FO(I used vanilla for mine..was also thinking to make chocolate and strawberry. Wink)
I used 4ML of FO per batch..use 1/4 cup per bath..I have a large tub so I used another 1/8 cup on top of that.

I threw everything in a gallon zip lock to mix it easier.

you can use it directly in the tub instead of in a tea bag type. which I prefer

anyone add anything else in their recipe

here is a pic as well.  Wink I posted this in the gallery but since the recipe is here thought I would add it as well..think I might try a large apoth jar too.

hmmm..here is another recipe..I think I got the two confused..I have used both but the one in the pic is this one..HOW did I do that.  Undecided I think I am losing it.? Undecided Roll Eyes Shocked

Milk Bath
1 cup dry milk powder
1 cup baking soda
2TBSP corn starch
10-25 drops FO
I put it all in a zip lock and shake shake shake..
use 2-3 TBSP per warm bath.

Wow, I might have to try that out.  I really like the fact that I know what all the ingredients are (all natural), I can read them, and get them all at the grocery store!  How great is that!

I love your packaging, and would leave it just like that.  I like packaging that is easily disposable, and it keeps yours and the customers cost down by not using the jar.  JMO

Since it's all dry other than the fragrance, do you add the fragrance to the salts first and mix, then add the salts to the rest and mix?  I've never made any B&B, was wondering about clumping.

Very nice.  Can't wait to try it out.  Wink Just a thought, could you use powdered goat milk in place of the reg. milk.  Might be a little more expensive, but I know that a lot of people like things just because it is made with goat milk.

I didn't but I put all the dry together in a ziplock and then shook it to death..then added the fo..and then did it again until it was all blended well.

Was interested in what size these in the picture are, and price you are charging, for them.

I just got a 16oz bottle of Peaks Vanilla Mint, I think I will try that.  What do you guys think about adding a tbsp of dendritic salt to help hold the smell better?

I made a batch of this last night and it is awesome!

I made lables in black and white with a little cow on it for the milk bath.  Too cute!

I will be excited to see how these sell at market this weekend.

Mine are 6oz and $3.95..with the second recipe listed..for the first recipe I would charge a bit more..due to the ingredients..either way.. nice cheap price point..and very easy to make. Wink

pamperme,  you do prefer one recipe over the other?  Both sound GREAT Smiley.  Ran out and got the dry/powdered milk for it last night.  I second, liking the fact that the ingred. are all natural and easy (no testing till its right). Grin

I prefere the one without the salt..just cause I hate to wait for it to dissolve before I sit in the tub. Grin..still test it to get the FO load right.. I started with 5 drops FO and now I am up to 20 on the vanilla and 15 on the chocolate version..with the chocolate version all I add is 1tsb. Cocoa powder.. and fudge browine FO.  Wink

I'm almost too embarassed to ask Embarassed but what are the benefits of this mixture?  Is there a site I can go to that lists differ ingred like this and their features/benefits.  I'm pretty new to B&B and made the mistake of using a recipe w/ borax so I'm trying to be more careful.  I made some last night (Pink Sugar FO & Lavendar EO).  Forgot I only need 1/2 as much of EO- WOW it knocked my socks off, I'll have to do another batch w/ no EO and mix the two.  TIA Smiley

I can't really answer this I would have to look up the info..I know that my skin was very soft when I got out of the tub and we have VERY hard water. Plus it smelled yummy. Grin

Gonna look it up later today and see what I can find on it for you.. if anyone else wants to chime in as well that would be great.

Hope your not sick of me yet Grin.  What is your opinion on what type of bags I should use.  Will poly bags "steal" the FO out of the mixture? (just thinking about it because it is does w/ candles.) The pink sugar smells so good.  What a GREAT gift pack: milk bath, lotion, and candle, etc all in same scent. Smiley  TIA for all your help.
