Bringing up this recipe again Grin.  A couple of questions.  Why is it important to not use the quick oats (just curious and of course I have a ton of this type).  I made some yesterday super easy and FUN.  I did grind up everything and then decided to add some whole lavendar buds as well (looks nice when wet)and some lavender EO as well.  Another curious question why does everthing get ground up?  I have other tea recipes that don't-wasn't sure if there was a benefit to it. TIA Smiley

Hi Maryann,

I specified the regular oats as opposed to the quick oats because the regular ones are the only ones I've ever used in this recipe.  Works great.  Having not used the quick oats I wasn't sure how the regular oats would feel in the bath - if there would be any noticeable difference.

The reason for grinding the ingredients, in this recipe at least, is to make the oatmeal more readily dispersable in the bath water.  You feel the benefits of the oatmeal bath quicker (imho) if you start with a ground base of oats.  Beyond that, many of my customers like to use these oatmeal bags as wash bags in the bath and the ground oatmeal in the bag feels better/smoother when being rubbed on the skin Smiley
