Update on Plumeria:  I use 1oz in 3lbs and it was one hot momma.  I think this could accelerate if you go with a higher ratio.  It is a lovely scent, true to the out of bottle scent.

1 oz. for 3 pounds. Hmmmm - not bad on the pocketbook, then, eh? This was CP, right?

Yes, it was cp.  The scent is very subtle at this ratio.  I don't like strong scents.  You may want to use more.

Edited to add:  I'm chuckling right now because I can smell plumeria floating up the stairs from my garage (where the soapies are)Grin

Janis, did you discount water at all, or use the full amount? I want to try this when I get back from vacation....

I don't understand discounting water yet, lol, so I think I used the whole amount.  It was a 3lb recipe with 6oz lye to 12oz water. BTW, the scent is getting stronger Grin

I used Plumeria tonight.  I did RTDWCPOP (Room Temperature Discounted Water Cold Process Oven Process).  I had to work fast because it accelerated trace.  I used 1 oz ppo.  I left it alone to mix in the swirl and boy was it thick!  Talk about pudding!!!!  Smells great though!!!

I was really being adverturous huh?  RTDWCPOP AND a floral Shocked

I am making my fragrance list for my first Peak's order so this information is very useful.  I see that the question of the FO listed here being suitable for Melt and Pour soaps has been addressed.  My question is will the same problems that are listed here for CP(seperation, acceleration)apply to Melt and Pour?

Hi momma , no these problems will not be the same in mandp with m and p just make sure the fo you are using is soap safe. You will not run into these problems because m and p is a different animal altogether. HTH cindy

Georgia Peach - oh wow..  No words needed.  Not recommended for CP. Anyone else had luck with this one?

I've recently completed testing for the following Peaks FOs in CP.  I use a basic olive/palm/coconut/grapeseed/castor type recipe, pretty extreme discount for water (38% solution).  Here are my results:

Baby Powder:  Slight acceleration, great scent, no discoloration.

Blackberry Sage:  strong, wonderful, no discoloration, no acceleration, one of my favorites.

Clean Cotton:  very nice, no acceleration, no discoloration

Cool Citrus Basil:  another strong, nice clean scent, no acceleration, no morph, no discolor

Country Heather:  discolored to a light tan, accelerated a bit, scent stayed true

Freesia: no discoloration, no morph, no acceleration

Fresh Linen:  slight acceleration, slight yellow discoloration

Green Tea:  no discoloration, no morph, no acceleration

Jasmine: no discoloration, no morph, no acceleration

Juicy Pineapple:  stay away!! LOL  Turned the raw soap a neon yellow, discolored to a deep, deep brown...only where the air hit it though.  If you cut it, it's yellow inside.  Reports that it made a mess in the shower too.

Midsummer Night:  love this scent, so manly!  Extreme acceleration, not quite soap on a stick, but really close.

Mountain Lake:  another fave.  no discoloration, no morph, no acceleration

Sage and Lemongrass:  strong and very refreshing.  no discoloration, no morph, no acceleration

Storm Watch:  another fave, not so strong at 1 oz ppo, but definitely smellable.  no discoloration, no morph, no acceleration

Sweet Pea:  no discoloration, no morph, no acceleration

Tall Grass:  no discoloration, no morph, no acceleration.  Scent is definitely right on.

Are you talking about weight by volume or liquid measurements when measuring for soap making? TIA

Ugh!  Just mixed black canyon and THEN came in here to check it out.  I had quite a bit of acceleration at a 39% discount.  It smells yuck right now.  I hope that changes.  AND....I hope it doesn't turn mustard yellow.  Bummer.  Next time ya think I ought to come here first, duh?

The smell stayed pretty true in mine, but it turned very brown, started out that mustard yellow, and got darker over the following week or two.  I think it looks kinda cool, though.

Vanilla Hazelnut turned very dark brown.

Lilac-discolored to a light brown, accelerated trace big time, riced slightly. Was supposed to be a purple swirl, I have globs of dusty rose. Very thick trace  Undecided not the best I've tried but not a disaster yet  Wink
