Grin It's alive, it's alive!!! Bwahaahaa!

But seriously, folks, here is my first shot at a layered pillar.  I have always admired Donita's et. al. work with layered pillars, so I dug out my scrap wax and tried it out myself.  I was a little unhappy with the result, as you can see there is considerable pitting but I like how the layers appear.  I like the sort of angled swirl of the two green layers, with the blue layer in between. I have a heat gun now, and made every effort to keep the mold warm.  I did let the next to last layer set up too long, and it pulled away from the mold.

I love it!  I'm busy playing with a project already today, but I think when I'm done, I may just have to try one like this.

I think it's kinda neat, especially for your first pillar.

Thanks for the comments.  I like the design, but the colors suck--only because I used my scrap paraffin.  When I get my wax sample slabs, I'll try one with the mottled look.
