I've never attempted a pillar, but the idea of creating something SOOO beautiful is a nice one!!!

Awesome.  You guys better stop posting so many gorgeous candles--my notebook is overfilling as it is, and I HAVEN"T even begun my first candle, lol!!  Gonna start small, wax melts, tarts, votives...but I WANNA DO THEM ALL NOW!!! I can already mentally see that little "I wanna do" line in my forehead starting.....

Another reason for me to break out the wax again.  You thought of such a neat idea.  The candle is so incredible.  It also inspires?  I'll have to also break out different cookies cutters, the melon baller, woodcut knife (for wax curls)  You've inspire me with the spirit that asks what would happen if...

I use a cut off saw to level my candles and this would work to make a couple of pillars then cut them up into rings to make this candle, great way to get rid of candles I didn't like how they turned out (if they were the same scent).  I'm going to try this, thanks Wink

So, I guess I am now addicted, considering its 1AM and I am up browsing Peak, reading the boards, gathering idea's, browsing e-bay....at least being home sick isn't sooo terrible.
