if you need a laugh.. I call this one The Blob. Started out with pretty pink urchins but overpour was too hot. The container is 2.75" across. Had been testing 44z wicks. All but a thin layer of gel melted and the container got pretty hot. Trying a LX12 here. Hoping the container won't get as hot. So far it seems to be working. Also testing using salt as the sand.

And here is what's left of my embeds. Fruit slices, pineapple, star fish and sand dollars.

And finally my J223 tin with embeds. At least I can test the wick a low smoke 21 zinc.

That last one is very interesting. Did you shell it with wax, then fill with gel? I love the look!

Chris, I ended up with too much wax and not enough gel. Thought I could fill the center with the gel embeds and overpour with wax. Should have overpoured with gel. That's why they call it testing I guess. I ordered some sq. tins from the coop and am trying to come up with a nice looking presentation since they have clear lids. Also the low smoke 21 wick was way too hot. That is the wick I was using for my J223 / soy combo in a 8 oz tin. Going on vacation to visit family back in IA. I'll post a pic if I get one to work after we get back.
