I did a search and came up with nothing so any suggestions on what liquied dyes to use to get a good rootbeer color? I'm just playing with gel for me so I have a creative outlet not connected to business and filling orders but on coloring rootbeer I'm stumped. Brown with red Thanks for any help.

Thanks Jean . I went ahead with the brown and a toothpick touch of red and I'm happy with the results. May go just a bit darker next time but not bad for a first try. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to putting a head on it or not. Also trying to keep from running to the store for a root beer which I am now CRAVING .

Here is the finished product. It's not quite as dark as the picture and I'm very happy with it for a gel newbie and a first attempt.

Looks like a mug of A&W root beer to me. All you need is some drops on the outside of the mug and you'll have a frosty mug of root beer. Takes me back to the days when it was a real treat to go to the A&W for a frosty mug (glass back then) of root beer. Man did that ever taste good.

Thanks all. The FO smells just like the old fashioned rootbeer I remember from when I was a kid. I haven't worked up to burning it yet, still admiring and showing it off, lol.

Well I'll actually never be able to replicate that, lol. I was just experimenting and added some of the gel to some soy container wax and tried to whip it but wasn't getting very far so I added a bit of 1342 to it and whipped again. If I had it to do over again I would have added more FO to that part since it is the part you smell the cold throw from and it only got scented from the gel I mixed with it. Still haven't brought myself to burn the dang thing, lol.
