RRD vs 44-24-18

Any opinions which is more effective for soy wax (EcosoyPB) in votives? I right now am using the 44-24-18 cottons but am curious about the RRD wicks. I wonder if they would have a better burn than the 44-24-18 or are they about the same? TIA!

The RRD wick is going to burn hotter.  The 44-24-18 is a zinc wick and is the coolest burning of the wicks.  IMO the best way to test is to buy a sampler pack (which Peak sells) and try them out for yourself, to see if you like them or not.

The 44-24-18's that I have are actually cotton and don't have a zinc core. That's why I'm curious, since RRD is cotton (from what I've read) and since I'm using a cotton core, I was wondering which is hotter, the RRD or the cotton 44-24-18's, or rather, which burn more effectively.

Sorry, I misread your post.  I think I have zinc on the brain today.  I would still buy a sampler pack of the RRD's to try out, if you are curious about them.
