Ok here are some more pictures of some candles I made about 2 weeks ago...This is my attempt at making chunks out of a cookie cuter. Next time I make one of these I might heat up the mold to see if I can get a smoother surface.

A study in textures...All of these candles except the chunk candle were poured at a cold temperature and whipped up before I poured. The two candles in the back were poured into a Pringles can.  I really like the way those two turned out. The pinkish one (front left) was poured into a regular metal mold that was heated up with my heat gun.

The two candles in the back were both poured into soda cans. I just cut off the top of the cans, made a hole in the bottom with a nail and sealed as usual with a screw and mold sealer. Be really careful if you do this though the cans are REALLY sharp! The candle in the front was done in a regular metal mold. All I did was put ice in the mold and pour the wax at about 180.  I really enjoyed making the ice ones because I am really impatient to see what my candle looks like after I pour and these can be taken out of the mold after about 5 minutes or so!  Grin This one I made  burned down in about 10 minutes or so. They sure are pretty to look at though!

I love the stars one. I have collected things with stars for years. the colours are lovely! YUM Grin. Where did you find a cutter so small. all mine are huge and useless for candles.
I really like the ice candle too. Looks like toffee- I once got my baby brother to eat a glass bead telling him it was candy. Wonder if he has tasted wax tee hee.
REALLY love those stars. Superduperfandabbydosey.

your candles are really great! I really like the star one, that turned out very nice. I like the ice one too. How long did it take to dry? one idea I have seen is you can put the ice candle back in the mold after it dries completely and then fill it in with another color. I have always wanted to try that but just havent gotten to it.
I love the cold pour candles too, the texture on them is great.

Thank you Judy!  It makes me happy that people actually like my candles!  Cheesy  I waited about 2 days before I burnt that ice candle.  I think the instructions said wait a week or maybe it was a month...Anyway I couldn't wait!  It seemed to burn just fine. Very quickly though like I said.  Pouring a different color wax into the ice candle is a great idea.  I am going to try it next time I make candles! Grin Grin
