LX  vs CD & HTP

I've never used LX wicks. Can someone please tell me first of all do they bend as much as CDs and HTPs? Do they burn hotter or cooler than CDs and HTPs? And are they treated with NST2 as I've heard?

TIA

IMHO, LX wicks don't bend as much or burn as hot as HTPs/CDs.  The only LX wicks that I know of that have the NST2 treatment are the larger wicks (24, 26, 28, and 30).

Thanks Scottopus. Would you say that RRD also burns cooler than CDs and HTPs?

I would say that HTP/CDs and RRD burn about the same.

And RRDs will bend as much as CD/HTP in soys, but bend less in palm waxes. In 2.5" containers you'll need at least an LX24 with something like the "advanced" soys and at least an LX26 with the "regular" soys. With the paraffin/soy blends start at around LX18. (All assuming 6% FO.)
