OK before I am totally panicky here , how hard are soy tapers to make . I have a new wholesale customer and she wants my tea-lights and lotions also asked if I would be interested in making tapers I told her if she likes my product and planned to be a repeat customer I would give the tapers a try but I would have to do some testing first , and now I am panicking lol

Unless you add a hardener or mix them with paraffin or beeswax, they will drip awful. Shocked  I tried them and could never get them to burn good, so switched to making 100% beeswax, which burn great!!

Hopefully someone else had better luck!!

You absolutely can try it, but I did and the tapers sucked......dripping all over the place almost immediately.  You could try different additives to harden the soy, but I found that didn't work either.  If she is looking for a more all natural wax, beeswax STILL makes the best tapers!!

You can try soy with an high mp overdip to try to control the drip but then its not all soy either - but really, I agree with what ChrisR says - beeswax all the way - even the rolled ones burn great and they are VERY easy to make. Paraffin also makes a great taper. I've seen palm made into tapers but I've never tried it because I can just imagine the sinkholes you'd have to deal with refilling not to mention trying to find the right wick!
