Pouring question

First of all, I hope this question makes sense... Are there any guidelines on how full to pour a container candle in relation to the top of the jar? I have been testing two different batches. It seems like a few of them that I poured pretty full (probably a little too full) aren't responding as well. Am I making this up, or is there a standard for pouring?? Thanks much

It would help to know what kind of containter that you are using. If you are using a 8 oz Jelly Jar then I think that most fill to the line right below the lines that the lid screws to. You must leave room between the wax and the lid for your wick in what ever containter you use. HTH Ree

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I wrote jar, but really the ones I am having issues with arent's jars, they are square containers. There is an obvious stopping point with a jar. Is there a guideline for straight sided containers?

Just as long as you leave room between your top and room for the wick not to touch your top ...you should be fine... most times there is a rim around the top of most containers.. I would not go any farther then that.... Cathy
