Best way to find out is to test it and see.

Thanks, Kaybee LOL! thats what i'm doing. i think i am saving my family a small fortune in candle money actually my son is real good about the candles i give him to test, i gave him a big mug for his birthday and warned him about watching it, so he does, says it burned good but he had to trim more, so i know my next mug won't have 2 51 's in it.

LOL! Wasn't trying to be smart. It's just that the odds of someone testing that particular FO in that particular jar with that particular wick are slim. The results can vary too depending on the FO supplier. Happy testing! Bet it smells good. I also have some cotton candy I have not tested out yet. Let us know how it does.

FirstLady... Cotton Candy is spun sugar, so something smelling "suggary" sounds like a good thing! I know what you mean about candle nose too... I LOVE to smell nice things - and can smell FO's in the bottle - but... NOT IN MY FINISHED - BURNING - CANDLES. Life can be so sad! Anyway, good luck to you...

First lady how did your candle end up? was the FO strong enough? and what wick worked? This is really late but I would have suggested a 60C (this & 62C is what I use w/ my wide mouth jars- FO determines) and 51C side by side. I have gotten to the point to save $ I fill my testers only 1/2 full as not to "waste" wax testing. ALSO if I don't pick the right wick I put the container in a candle warmer melt the wax and then repour into the same size container w/ a new wick to test (that saves on $ also). HTH for the future

Thanks Maryann... i put your suggestion for wick size in my notes on the widemouth mason jar, i don't have any cotton wicks right now. i still don't smell cottoncandy from this candle, i made my son one in the widemouth, no color and made my daughter one in the 8 oz jj and colored it pink, there is a light scent, but not what i would call cotton candy, so i didn't even test burn it yet. its not a strong scent at all.

How long did your candle cure for? (sometimes that's the key). Sorry to hear that your scent isn't strong . Who's your supplier for the scent (if you don't mind me asking? )

Maryann, once reason i haven't test burn it yet is because i want it to cure awhile. to see if it has a stronger smell.
