Your personal information on the net! They won't .

On another board and on this board, there were list posted that gave your personal name, address, phone #, date of birth and directions to your home! the site was zabasearch.com
Well I e-mailed them and demanded that they remove my information!
The reply I got back is horrifying to say the least.
They want me to snail mail themALL[b] of my personal information and then they will send me a kit to be tooled so that I can remove it myself. However unless I include what [b]THEYwant for info, they will do nothing at all to remove it!
Isn't that against the law? This angers and upsets me more than you can know. Living alone, anybody could show up here for whatever reason and my neighbors a way down the road.
And who is to say that once I get the kit and remove it, they won't just put it back up the next month?

It is everywhere...You got a phone?  a lease?  a mortgage?  your info can be found.  I looked up what my ex-husband paid for his house in KY and got a current picture of the house I grew up in many, many years ago in IL.  My neighbor killed a guy, I was on the news (no address listed and I live in a court where we all have the same address, different house number) I got a letter from an inmate at a state prison TO MY EXACT ADDRESS saying he "knew me when"!

Something I remember from a few years ago and I don't know if this still happens but inmates as a part of their "jobs" would be the ones taking plane reservations when you would call the 800#'s and would be the ones that processed those questionnaires you would get in the mail, in the large packets that contained all the coupons. It would be those forms that said if you filled in all the info. you could get free samples and coupons that would "better suit" your needs.

All I had to was send an email to the right person and my info was immediately taken off as well as a few others I noticed. I didnt have to send them anything snail mail.

That may be true of other sites but not this one. Angry I've checked other sites and I'm not listed.

Whats even worse is that if someone knows your address, using a certain software program, which uses a satalite, they can be watching your house.  I'm not kidding.  I guy I know was telling me about it, he has it.  I was watching his mother on it, and called her and told her she missed a leaf, she was raking the lawn.  I guess this freaked her out, it would have me too.  I have looked at homes I used to live in.  Technology is great, but horrifying in the wrong hands.
