Don as long as you left after you posted you should not have had trouble w/ travel. But us here east of Panama City(only 50 miles) is going to get it. My DH is releiving me at E.O.C. until he will be at Fire House @ 9:00 pm. I had to go in at 7 oam. Will be back tonight until Mon. afternoon, night. Dennis is going to hit us with feeder bands @2;00am tonight, the eye will hit in about 22 hrs. Our shelters are full and they don't "open" until 6:00 tonight. We decided as E.M. director wished to take the little local hospital beds & empty spaces over for shelter. We have a hospital that is no more then a glorified "vet clinic" except we utilize them for helicopter evac. And the director had the nerve in the meeting yesterday to say he wouldn't take shelter people. Well guess what he has no choice(oh, 1/2 of hospital is empty) We will most definetly lose power etc... we are going to get the brunt of this. So I don't know how to ask this but "all Prayers" would be greatly appreciated.
