After 5 years I recently quit my job because of a similar situation.   I had more knowledge, and experience than my boss, better relations with most of the regulars, I stood up for myself, I had no respect for this lazy *** man, I was to old and not as small as every other server (99% females) that he hired.  In the last year I was there, after he got the GM position, he had run off all but 5 servers that were there when he was hired.  I was the most outspoken, and with the worst health problems of the ones left.  He increased the hours for my position knowing I couldn't work them, therefore took the position away and cut my hours in half.  2 weeks later he cut me down to 2 shifts a week.  I could no longer afford to work there, and quit, 1 month prior 2 my 2 week paid vacation.  I was miserable, and in the end, he got what he wanted, the others are now afraid he will be after them next.  He only wants tiny, cute girls in there EARLY twentys.  I am pretty (if I do say so myself Wink) but tall, big boned, a little heavy, and 30.  I didn't fit his profile.

So I understand where you are coming from, even though we are dealing with different circumstances.  I guess what I am really saying is, if the boss doesn't want you there anymore, for whatever reason, they will find a way to get rid of you one way or another.  Is this job worth all this?  Thats what I asked myself, cuz I could have faught it, but for me it wasn't.  Good Luck!
