Honey Beeswax soap...

Okay, I made this up about 3 weeks ago and it is wonderful!! Wish I could take credit for it being an original recipe, but it's not. (And I would love to give credit where credit is due, but don't know where my mom got this recipe from~I asked her and she can't remember!! Sorry)

I don't know how to do percentages either-again-sorry...
This is for a 3# batch...
12 oz. Cocunut
12 oz. Palm
9 oz. Sunflower
9 oz. Olive Oil
2 oz. Avocado
2 oz- castor
2 oz. beeswax
2 oz honey

I let the lye and oils cool to about 85-90 degrees before mixing because beeswax, I have noticed, heats up the soap, and accelerates trace... I added the warmed up honey at light trace...

When this soap first came out of the mold, it was a dark brown color, but the longer it has cured the lighter it has gotten. It is now a very nice creamy tan color...I scented it with OMH and it smells divine!! I have tried a bar and it is very nice and moisturizing... I thought it would be a little drying because of the high coconut content, but it's not at all...

Enjoy.. I'm glad I could contribute!!

I love honey in soap, and I hear lots of people rave about sunflower, so this looks like a nice recipe.

Robin, you are always so helpful...Thank you...

Yes, I put sunflower oil in almost all of my soaps. It seems very moisturizing...
