Hi machelle

I am new at this also. I got this recipe a few days ago, from one of the suppliers where I get my candle supplies.

10Tablespoons brown sugar
5 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons jojoba oil
2 tablespoons sweet almond oil
vitamin E
8 tablespoons sunflower oil
1 tablespoon glycern
1 tablepoon fragrance
I didn't use the vitamin E because I was told the sunflower oil had vitamin E in it.
mix all together and put in containers.  The oil settles to the top after you put in your containers.  Just mix with popsickle stick for your finger when you use.  I made some and took it to work and they loved it.

You can use any fragrance you want as long as it is a body safe fragrance

That looks like a nice recipe..

Does this stand up over time?  I have not made any of these, but have thought about them. Do they mold? I know sugary things sometimes can mold? Do you sell them or just make them for your own use?  I have a customer who wants a sugar scrub, but doesn't want anything in there that is not "all natural".  I have wondered about these. Any advice? Soapymomma

I'd say you'll probably want to store them in an air tight container and add a preservative for mostly oil products. That should take care of molding. Someone with more experince might be able to help a bit more on that question though.
