need soap recipe using saponified vegetable oils

I bought some soaps that are made using saponified vegetable oils and vitamin E, and sweet almond oil, I have never made soaps but want to try it.  Need a recipe if anyone has a good one and dont mind sharing. I have been doing alot of reading on soap making,but using the Lye is kinda scary. TIA

Hi honey, before you start, please please please read this website.  It has a lot of great recipies, great advice (well, expept for using crayons and candle dyes, this is a no-no) and will get you on your way faster than any one post here.

Thank you for posting this site. Probably was posted 100 other times but I overlooked it. I just went to it and read alot and will continue. I have been reading everything I can find here lately before I give it another try. Some of the info is actually starting to sink in Roll Eyes

I'm glad you found it useful!  It is a lot, but once you get going with it, it'll all make sense.  Just be prepared, safety first, and have fun!
