How deep are you pouring?  The mini muffin pans are about 3/4 of an inch thick...

Oh honey no..  If you were to use that in the tub you'd be oily oily nasty nasty.  1/2 ounce to 3/4 ounce melt is all you need.  I know it doesn't seem like much, but it'll work.  Go get a mini muffin pan girl!

actually, i used one in the tub today and it was a big greasy mess. so much to the point that i did not have to put on any lotion.  i picked  up a mini muffin pan today.  i plan to make more tonight, if i don't venture off into something else.  i will post my results

Bunny,
I've tried a couple different bath melt recipes, including yours, and I never get any fizz.  I have extremely hard water -- do you think that's my problem?  Suppose the ones I made would work better for someone with softer water?

It's not going to fizz like fizzing bath bombs or anything, just enough fizz to break apart the melt so it just doesn't sit there.   Grin

Okay, well it still doesn't really fizz but it does break apart.

I don't get what's so great about bath melts.  Me thinks I need to get a hotel where there is soft water.  LOL
