I tried the receipe this weekend, except I used refined cocoa butter, and added a couple of drops of lavender and 1/2 Tab (I think) to a half batch.  Used it yesterday on my son (he has eczema) and I really liked what it did for his skin.  Found a keeper!  Thanks Bunnyblossom!

Melt the cocoa butter. When it's melted, add the baking soda, corn starch, and if a dark chocolate melt is wanted, add cocoa powder.  If not, leave as is. After everything is completly mixed and molds are ready, cool until pot just warm to the touch, but still liquid.  Add citric acid, and stir like mad! Pour quickly into lined molds, then in the freezer for about 20 minutes.  Have held up very well in warm weather.

Okay finally after months of wanting to try these I am this week (hopefully)!  Couple of questions!!
1. Is there a certain temp to add the citric, I know it says when the pot is warm but still liquidy, but Im really bad about that.
2. How long should these stay in the freezer to avoid the crackles?
3. How long do these "cure"? Or can I use them right away?  Thanks!!--Tess

I've never taken the temp, but you want to add it before it turns back into solidified cocoa butter.  Cool to the touch, not hot.

Pop then in the freezer for about 20 minutes.  (make it a small batch, then you can adjust your freezer time up or down as necessary.

They MUST cure for ONE minute....lol  No cure time on these babies.  I'm just pickin on you.  Have fun!

What Happens if you don't put it in the freezer? Does it just take longer to get solid?

Yup, much longer - but still do-able I would think.

Question on the cocoa butter on the site you posted. Which is the smelly one, guess I'm up to late and the brain isn't working but does undeodorized mean it smells or not and does the deodorized mean it smells or not?

Hey bunny... is there a "reccommended size" for these? I did mine in the mini muffin pans, but it took aver 30 mins. to dissolve, wondering if I could make them smaller, yet get the same results for my skin? TIA--Tess
