Bunny's Bath Melts 8 oz Cocoa Butter (the smelly one...lol) 1 1/2 Cups Baking Soda 1/3 Cup Corn Starch 1-2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder (if you want it brown) 1 cup Citric Acid Melt the cocoa butter. When it's melted, add the baking soda, corn starch, and if a dark chocolate melt is wanted, add cocoa powder. If not, leave as is. After everything is completly mixed and molds are ready, cool until pot just warm to the touch, but still liquid. Add citric acid, and stir like mad! Pour quickly into lined molds, then in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Have held up very well in warm weather.

I just love using these.. Had tried about 6 different recipies, and found them all too oily. This one just leaves a slight layer of oil on you, no lotion needed! And because I'm lazy I didn't clean the tub after I used one, but hubby took a shower right ater me, and the little bit that was left in the tub was gone! WOOHOO! When you make it, if you want add fo other than chocolate, you can use deodorized cocoa and add 1 tablespoon body safe fo. Hope you like it!

Lined molds? I like the sound of these. Want to try it.

I put them in a mini muffin tin, and used the small cupcake liners. When set, I peeled them - then wrapped them in gold foil.

Amanda, think twice about the cocoa. I think it would leave a brown residue in your tub not sure but I bet it would.

Didn't even think about that... just going by the recipie she listed. Hmmm, I want it to smell more like chocolate without adding fo. I thought the coco would help, any other thoughts.

A tiny bit of cocoa powder mixed in the whole batch shouldn't leave residue clinging to the tub - I've used cocoa powder to color soaps & bath fizzies and haven't had any residue left behind except for one of my first batches where I used entirely too much cocoa (& cocoa butter) in my fizzies - talk about an ugly icky mess Nothing like a thick brown oil slick to make you feel unclean! As far as getting more of a chocolate scent - make sure you're using the really smelly cocoa butter as opposed to the deodorized stuff. That should give you a good strong chocolate scent

I'm so happy ya'll like them! Yes, too much cocoa powder will cause a residue. Also I agree with Lisa, to not use chocolate Fo, you need to use the smelly cocoa butter. Use the deodorized if you want to make it other scents. have to warn you Amanda, when you put the cocoa powder in, it looks like a turd dissolving in the tub. First time I used one I had the kids in there, and I forgot the melt was in there, and yanked the kids out of the tub thinking that one of them had an accident. Since then it's been white or pastel ones for me! lol! No royality rights here...lol.. Someone else was kind enough to share this recipe with me, the very least I can do it to pass it on so others may enjoy! (Just don't sell them in SW Louisiana...hehehe)

Fair enough.. I am useing the smelly coco butter, but it has been in the fridge, only thing i can think of to make it less smelly. That or not great quality. I dont have a whole lotta experance with suppliers, not sure what's good and isn't. If Alan would just start carrying soap stuff...... Oh yea, is Northern Kentucky far enough away? lol

Don't slap me for this idea, but I was wondering if a little bit of that instant either hot or cold chocolate mix would make it smell more chocolatey, but since it dissolves instantly, maybe it wouldn't leave the turd ring in the tub. The hot chocolate one even has some powered milk in it so it seems that would be a really nice addition. It does contain sugar though, so I don't know if that might cause a problem for anyone or not. Haven't tried it, but the thought just occured to my pea brain. I might have to just try that out. It sounds so fun. Thanks for not slapping me! He-He, Soapymomma

Ohhh... I have plenty of those, I guess I'll just have to pick out the marshmallows and eat them! I started making "white chocolate" melts, and they look much better while dissolving.. Just left out the cocoa powder. Have found the cocoa powder didn't really add all that much smell to them anyhow.

The mix may work, the only thing I could see that wouldn't work would be the sugar. I think it could cause UTI, or at least irritate..uh..sentitive areas.. (sugar free kind poss?)

No Crystal, it's not a silly question! I bought a mini muffin pan from Wal Mart that I believe has a 36 muffin capacity, and bought the little muffin liners that go in it. HTH
