Here's a recipe that seems simple enough...(I haven't tried it myself personally, but will soon)

6oz distilled water
2oz witch hazel
1oz fo
This may be cloudy, so you might want to put in alum. bottle, but it will need instructions to shake before use. HTH

K, done!  Cheesy That was actually nice a simple. (except getting it all to mix together....you just need to point out to shake before using  Shocked )
I made VC Very Sexy for Her, Brambleberry Summer Fling (fruity), and my daughter decided we should make VS Very Sexy for Him. I put it into aluminum spray containers.
A little goes a long way.....
Thanks for sharing the simple recipe!

I have been looking at this recipe for awhile now..  I also looked into the stuff that Sue mentioned too!!  It's suppose to be simple to use as well, but I haven't bought any of it yet!  I have the Witch Hazel and fo's...might try this in one of my other bottles...just to get a feel.  I personally don't care if it is cloudy....just want it to work right and smellllllll good...lol

Hi Jewelyetta
  I haven't tried yet.
makes 4 oz
3 oz cyclomethicone
1/2 oz almond oil
scent as desired.

makes 8 oz

6-7 oz cyclomethicone
1/2 oz almond oil
scent

I was told very easy and good seller.  The recipe with the distilled water do you need to add a preservative?

Hope this helps

I'm not familiar with cyclomethicone, where can you get this? Ive been getting my body spray base from Millcreek, its also use as a room spray, can the recipe you showed can it be used for room spray Huh It seems like it would be cheaper to make the spray with what you listed.  Thanks for any info.

I dont, just the cyclo stuff and fo. You dont need to shake it, but you can't color it. Also depending on the fo it may not be crystal clear, my sweet pea has a very faint yellow tone to it.

An oil base lip balm color should work.

I finely used the recipe, that I posted on top.  It's not cloudy. But I do shake before I use.  I used Baby Hugs from Snowtop, and OMG....it's so strong!!  I can spray it and smell it almost all day in a small room.  It's so loud that I stay in the same room after spraying. Shocked
With the Witch Hazel and Distilled Water, I'm sure you can color it w/bath colorants.  I just left mine colorless.

Cyclomethicone is silicon-based, so you don't need much. If you haven't tried it, get a sample from somewhere. IT goes on non-greasy, and is non-staining.

I get mine from Bittercreek South, just cause they're close to me in Houston.

Hi, I'm new to B&B and I have a question about the above post.

Do you adjust the recipe for the different uses listed above?

My daughter has asked me to make body spray and the bath melts, but it's a little intimidating to make something like that.  I might try the Walmart cocoa butter to make the melts just to make sure this is something I can do.

Thanks for any help!

with just the cyclo and FO or EO, you don't need a preservative from what I understand.

Here's the info from TDF:

Cyclomethicone

Use In Sprays
Cyclomethicone is a crystal clear, odorless liquid that looks just like water.  It has a soft silky feel when sprayed on the skin and is perfect for body sprays!   Add fragrance oil and package in a clear PET bottle with fine mist sprayer and you have a clear body spray that feels dry.   You may have seen this product offered as 'Dry Perfume Oil'.  Much easier than trying to find the right proportion of Polysorbate, water, and alcohol to make a clear spray.  I like my body spray heavily scented.  If you do as well, be sure and choose PET over PVC or other plastic containers.  A heavy concentration of Fragrance or Essential Oils has been knows to break down PVC and some other plastic containers.
Cyclomethicone is the perfect choice for linen sprays.  You won't believe how much FO you can mix with this product and it stays completely blended without shaking AND stays crystal clear!.  The dry feel means no wet linens.  Because a Cyclomethicone Spray will keep spraying and spraying endlessly, we love this for room sprays as well.  Package in small containers as a little goes a long way.

Suzanne, does TDF mean todieforsoaps.com website?

Also, what is the purpose of using Almond oil for either body spray or linen spray?

Thanks for the info.
