Well guys, slaved over the hot crock pot and this is what i came up with.  Not the prettiest soap but still soap.  Scented with White tea from Candlewic.  Went a little overboard with the cocoa for coloring.  In addition, i think the bars are too big.  Its 3.5 inches tall and 3 inches wide.  I "really" dont like the mold either.

THE SOAP....

Carmen, I think they look GREAT! That's awesome for a first try. They look quite scrumptious, BTW. They remind me of Cookies N Cream Ice Cream.

What don't you like about the mold? Did you buy it or did someone make it for you? What size is it? I think the size of the bars is just fine. If it were me, I would have cut them a little thicker (but that's just my taste)

You did good, girl! WTG!

Thanks Kara!  I bought the mold online.  It holds 2 lbs.  maybe next time i wont fill it up all the way to the top.  The soaps are a little too big to hold in my wee little hand.  Yes, you are right, i need to cut them wider next time.

Thanks for the info!

Carm, they look great for your first try.  Look nice and creamy.  And it will only get better.  Besides pouring less into the mold, you could also pour higher and slice it lengthwise first.  Just a suggestion.

Thanks Lizzy.  Thats a great suggestion to slice it lengthwise first.  Bad part is I filled it as high as i could possibly go without it pouring over Undecided

I think you may have filled too much. I have yet to invest in a wooden mold, maybe one day... Roll Eyes

Carmen, they look great, don't be so critical LOL.. And once you play around some more, you'll figure out the perfect size to cut them so they feel good in your hand.
