Is this considered "all done" yet? Just wondered where we stand with this as it seems to have slowed way way down the last couple of weeks. Undecided

I've been on vacation for the last week, so haven't had a chance to finish up. I have 3 more to test and will be done by this Friday.

'Been thinking the same thing. Maybe we could all try and have these done this week so if anyone has questions/comments (and we want to reveal our soap) we could do that with the soaps?

Okay Ms Sara, how did they know which one was yours...huh, huh, huh?  Come on now....which one is yours? I wanna know how I rated it. lol

BTW, the ones I purchased, love them.  Not fond of the Anisse but DH loves it.  I love the lather just not fond of the scent.  Cuke/Mint....love it although don't smell the mint.  All are awesome.  Oh, haven't tried the pumpkin spice or the round one but so far, so good.  Always wondered how you got that one to look so real (pumpkin) now I know! Grin

Anyway, I am enjoying them.  Thanks so much.

Well, now that it is "done" - or about as done as it is gonna be - LOL, mine was No7, the Plumeria. It is Peak Plumeria. I didn't really care for the smell, but my nose seems to be kind of sensitive and picks up on odd smells. But looks like some others kind of had second thoughts on the smell, too. And it felt kind of rubbery to me. I donno - just felt a little different than my other soaps, so I don't know if it was the FO and how it reacted w/my recipe or what. Maybe it morphed a bit?

Anyway, that was my soap!! I didn't get many reviews on it, though.  Cry

Yeah, I think we can pretty much stick a fork in this one.  We're done.

Mine was #15 scented Angel Wings.  I only got 10 reviews out of a possible 23 (?) - one of them was my own!!

I understand that things come up and I don't whine (very often) but I have to admit a tinge of disappointment with my first ever swap because it was a new recipe that I formulated just for the swap to get tips on a lathering bar that wasn't drying. . . .

Sara, thank you so much for hosting.  The swap was well run and organized - and we had our very own forum - now that was classy. Grin Grin  And, I especially appreciate those of you that gave thoughtful reviews (not just numbers) to my soap and others, those were very helpful.

Hey, the forum's open for the next swap, too. I know, I was a little dissapointed in the low review numbers of my soap, but I did get some good feedback.

The next swap I think I will try a new recipe, though. Who was hosting that?  Tongue

Mine was number 8, the lemon poppyseed..  It had bentonite clay in it, and the whole throught process was to exfoliate using the poppyseed side and use the "frosting" as the shaving soap side.

Many thanks to our hostess Sara for such a well run swap.  Also have to agree with Carmen, it really helped knowing more than numbers.

I wanted to say I loved the soap swap because for me I learned so much trying all the different soaps.

My was #22, the little castille one.  I didnt expect rave reviews but I'm glad I joined in the swap.  The reviews didnt suprise me at all really.  Some had even told me they had never tried castille soap, so at least I was able to give that experience to them.

As for reviewing I did all of them except one.  I couldnt bring myself to try it.  Sorry.  But I'm done Smiley  Absolutely enjoyed all of the soaps for their different qualities.

Hey Sara, I gave ya rave reviews!!!  Bunny, loved yours also.  Carmen I think I gave you good review also so thats a plus to your three ladies!

Mine was #3...the dreaded mouse turds as someone stated. lol

I did send in two different bars.  One was light orange patchouli with rosemary.  The other was garden of herbs and I know I put way too many herbs but it was my first time and now I know better.  Got 17 out of 23 responses so that was good.

Thanks to Sara for all the work she did with the forum and the seperating all the soaps and remailing, etc.  I wish everyone would reply as that was the whole purpose of the swap.  I enjoyed it 100% and again, well ran swap Sara.

Oh yah I'm a dork, Ms. Sara you did a fantastic job making the soap swap happen and hosting the board where we could do the reviews.

I have to say I really enjoyed reading the reviews, I learned so much being a soap challenged maker.  I also loved the anonymity that we had because I think it made the critiques much more honest.

I learned a lot about soaps too. I learned that I really like bubbles/lather. I need that to feel like I'm clean. Lathery bubbles make me happy.

I fell in love with some of the scents, too. Tanya, I soaped the Pin. Cilantro shortly after smelling yours!!

I'm inspired to make a scrubby soap too. I had a lot of fun with this swap. I'll admit to not trying a couple soaps, though, because they didn't look "right" to me.  Undecided I apologize for that. Sometimes things go screwy with soaps. I think some of that has to do with them not getting air.

I had #19 and I do appreciate all the reviews. It is my 'main' recipe and I am was able to let out a sigh of relief to know that at least some people would like it Smiley
It didn't have milk (I think someone asked that).  The scent is EO's and the blend was equal parts Spearmint and Cedar with a touch of patchouli to help anchor.  The colors were a mix of red and pink Aussie clays and I did try a bit of Copper Mica in it.  Though it was hardly there. Ah well.  The oils I used were Olive at the highest rate then Palm Coconut, Shea Butter, Palm Kernal, Cocoa butter. I was working on the moisture factor to see if I could get it higher... and I could.. but the soap was horrible.  I had a serious problem with the batches over heating.  So I'm sticking with this recipe because it doesn't seem to  overheat as easy. :/
