Cutting Logs

How do you cut logs? Are they soft enough to cut easily, or is there a trick? Probably will try with M&P, too scared to try anything else.

I've never tried it with M&P, but my CP is soft enough that I just use a pastry blade/dough scraper, one that looks like this http://www.kerekesequip.com/static/pid704.asp (that was just the first pic I found on the web). Mine has inches marked on it, so I can measure off an inch accurately. People also use guitar strings (I hear the G string is the best LOL), or fishing line. But I think those would be harder to control unless they're fixed to a cutter.
