Glycerin is what they use to make jello and jam right? Can you use the boxes in the grocery store for B&B?

I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time, but I've never heard of using glycerin for jams or jelly. Are you thinking of pectin maybe, the powder stuff in a box? Caro syrup has the same consistency as glycerin, and I use it for freezer jam, but don't use that in B&B You can buy glycerin at walmart in the pharmacy.
