I have never made this with the shea and mango butters.  I use regular brown sugar and just the SWO and mine foams great.

I have used FBB and it did foam but I have not used any sugar with it so I can't help  you there. I do like your recipe and am interested in trying it. How much sugar did you add?

I am far from knowledgable on this topic, this is purely a guess, but I am thinking that maybe it was to much added oils?  The extra oils and butters weighed it down and killed the suds?  Like I said, purely a guess, but makes sense to me.  Like putting a greasy pan in the dish water, and all of a sudden all the bubbles are gone.  Know what I mean?

I'm also thinking that too much oil was added.  The instructions on KB call for only 2 oz of oil to either 1.5 or 2# of butter, if I recall correctly. I'm sure the extra oil made it feel good, though; the FBB was too drying for my skin.
