Did you try Lowes? That is where I found mine after going all over town as well. I know you can get it on line at To Die For Soaps but I know there is probably other places as well. Maybe someone else will chime in here to help

You can get lye at your local Lowes store. Also try Home Depot because you might find it there too. As for online, you can get it at Supplies to Die For. Here's a link. http://www.todieforsoap.com/

My local Lowe's doesn't carry it. I cannot find it locally anywhere anymore. I used to be able to get it at a grocery store called Albertsons, but they don't carry it anymore. I have to get it online from To Die For in Texas. (The link that Meredith posted)

What about hardware stores like Ace, TrueValue, I live in a small town, and can't think of any other chain Hardware stores, but places like that? Just a guess here, haven't looked for it myself yet.

Oh yeah girls thanks rub it in! I DONT HAVE a LOCAL Lowes or Home Depot or ANYTHING like that...Well I have something like an Ace's and then a local hardware store and a Sutherlands then a few farm supply stores...oh yeah and a walmart. I was informed at one of the stores that they can not sell it in this county because of ppl buying it for meth...darn meth heads anyway! I did find it online at a hardware store though I'll have to compare the price to the one at to die for.... Thanks a bunch.... Ashleigh

OMG lye is used to make meth? The things people will put into their bodies, I just don't get it. But I guess that's a good thing right?

Yep it's getting harder & harder to find locally because of the METH makers. Who knows, before long, we may have to be verified before we can buy it. And then only in small amounts. You could try your local hardware store to see if they can order it for you. Just let them know what you are doing with it or they might not. Make sure you only use

I found mine in a local grocery store. They have tons of it. I spent the better part of two weeks calling around trying to locate some. But now I look everywhere I go just to have a back up. ANd I can get it in two places.

I get mine at Safeway, it's the only place in town that I've found it. Do you have a local market that might be able to order it for you?

If you have a Ace hardware you can order it online and then have it shipped to the store for pick up. I think that you have to order a full case. Worth checking out!

1 hardware store in town had it for me, but it was expensive, $9.99 for 9oz, and 13.99 a pound. I bought mine from my local supplier, had to drive there to pick it up, since its over an hour drive, I got a 25kg bag, now I don't have to worry about it for a long time, and I saved over 11.00 a pound
