I have just heard that that brand is pretty good compared to others. Not really sure, I have used it and it is nice stuff, better than the store bought kind I have.

You can read about the ingredients that sfic uses on their website and they are generally pretty friendly if you contact them for further clarification of their ingredients.  You can also purchase a sampler pack of their different bases to try them out - pretty reasonably priced if I remember correctly.

They have several different types of m&p base to choose from and their descriptions are pretty accurate for them:
i.e., their shaving base has awesome lather, their low-sweat clear really does sweat less than your typical m&p base and their extra clear base is definitely clear enough to show embeds in the finished soaps.

Their bases are easy to melt and easy to scent.  They set-up fairly quickly and last a decent amount of time in the bath for an m&p soap base.

I've been purchasing directly from them for approx. 2 1/2 years now and have never been disappointed.
