Just my 2cents but I don't mix & match my molds.
Some fo's are not skin compatible and besides they would be a mess to clean the wax and or soap residue out of the molds. Cry I keep everything separate. Hope this helps you some

Metal molds are not to be used with CP soap. Won't withstand the lye. No metal around from scratch soaps except stainless steel. Not sure if they would work with MP.

I have a round mold with a detachable bottom that I have used for M&P and didn't have any problems.  You might want to spray something like Pam into it before you use it though

I have a few small metal loaf candle molds that I use strictly for m&p soaps - never used them for candles.  They make the cutest little loaf soaps.  But as Robin stated, these metal molds are not for use with cp soaps.

Also - I line my little loaf pans with parchement cooking paper nowadays - first time I put m&p soap in them without lining them, it took forever to get the soaps out  Roll Eyes
