A couple of firsts wooo hooooo

Well I made my first sugar scrub and whipped body butter.  I've been doing a lot of reading, and collecting recipes for about a month now.  I have collected just a few items, not really enough but I couldn't wait anymore.   I didn't really go by any of the recipes I took so much time to collect, basically because I didn't have most of the things in them.  I just put together what I had til they looked right.  Let me tell you, I LOVE the way they turned out!  After I get out of the shower I have a very light film on my skin thats absorbed within minutes and it feels so smooth, no need for lotion.  I just made the whipped butter tonight, it's so light and fluffy, and no greasy feeling afterwards.  I'm just so tickled pink with myself right now.  Only problem is, I didn't measure really.  I did in the begining, but then just kept adding more of this and that til it looked right, now I have no idea how much of a couple of things is in it. Roll Eyes  Oh well I'll measure and write it down with my next attempt.

Oh and I got my first 2 orders for votives this week!  Woo whoooo it's been a good week!  Happy dance Tongue

It's only the beginning. B&B is just as addicting as candles.

Are you kidding, this is worse than candles!  At least for me.  With candles once I got a technique down I went on to the next one.  After it's done, you burn it, and thats the end of it.  Now don't get me wrong, I still love making candles, but what woman doesn't love babying herself with B&B products?  And you can do that multiple times a day if you wish. Tongue  I tell you, I am having a love affair with Unrefined Shea, it's my new cure all, cuz it does.  At least for me.  No more dandruff, dermatitis, exzema, my hair is looking healthier, and my skin is almost starting to glow.  I used some of the whipped shea that mystic sent me (which is what got me addicted in the first place, thanks mystic Wink) on my bfs feet, which used to horribly dry, cracked, and calused, not anymore!  I bought some shea butter myself and I only have about a pound left and I'm starting to freak out looking for more. Roll Eyes Tongue

Thanks everyone.....This is just so exciting!

Ohhhhhhhhh Eden, do tell! Tongue  The whipped butter I made is 3/4 unrefined shea 1/4 kokum, hempseed oil, natrasorb bath, liquapar optima, and a bit of strawberry and french vanilla fos.  I whipped the snot out of it!

I went to wally world today and I've never spent so much time in the oils section. Wink  Couldn't get anything yet, but they have alot of stuff!  Not to many of the "good" oils but they had corn, sunflower, olive, canola, coconut, lard, goats milk, coconut milk, Aloe gel Shocked, now if only I could get someone to "give me the money". WinkLOL
