EO Anchor scents

Can anyone tell me about anchor scents. I have a general idea of what they are but, I want to know how they work, what makes it anchor another scent and which ones work best with citrus blends. I love the citrus EO's but haven't soaped any because they fade. I'm not a fan of patchouli, although I went ahead and bought a very expensive ounce at the health food store today. Any info or links would be appreciated. I have looked at the scent review board and they talk about all the eo's, but I couldn't find the information I want on anchor scents. Thank you

Wax and a wick, what's so hard about that.

I know I know..lol I'm not a huge patch fan either, but it is working wonderfully at anchoring.. For citrus eo's you can either use a little patch, or litsea cubeba (I've had pretty good luck with this, at one year, I can still smell my pink grapefruit/litsea bars. I've heard orange peel powder works to anchor them too.. Search the archives of the dish too...
